GhostChat is a lightweight live chat widget for small businesses, agencies, and teams. It adds real-time visitor messaging to any website with one line of code. The optional built-in AI chatbot — the AI Assistant, powered by Claude Haiku — answers visitor questions automatically, 24/7.

- Pro ($5/mo): 3 sites, 1-year history, business hours, visitor page journey, WooCommerce/page visitor context, CSV export, auto-translate (133+ languages), webhooks, Bot Agent API (bring your own LLM). Solo — 1 seat.
- Pro + AI ($15/mo): Everything in Pro plus the built-in AI Assistant (Claude Haiku, ~1,500 replies/mo). The flat +$10 AI step adds only the assistant — nothing else changes. Solo — 1 seat.
- Team ($25/mo): Everything in Pro plus up to 10 team members (you + 9), remove branding, 10 sites, unlimited history, custom visitor context (all keys), identity verification, priority support. No AI.
- Team + AI ($35/mo): Everything in Team plus the built-in AI Assistant (~6,000 replies/mo). The flat +$10 AI step adds only the assistant.

## AI Assistant (built-in AI chatbot)
GhostChat includes a built-in AI chatbot — the AI Assistant — powered by Claude Haiku. It answers visitor questions 24/7 using your FAQ knowledge base and runs entirely on our servers — no API key or extra infrastructure needed. When it can't answer, it hands off: connecting the visitor with you live if you're available, or capturing their name and email to follow up if you're away. One-click setup: hit "Generate with AI" and GhostChat reads your own website and drafts your bot name, behavior instructions, and a starter set of FAQ answers for you to review and apply — so you're not starting from a blank page. Included on the Pro + AI plan ($15/mo) and Team + AI ($35/mo). A generous monthly fair-use allowance applies (about 1,500 replies/month on Pro + AI, about 6,000 on Team + AI); at the limit visitors still reach you (live when you're available, or by email when away) instead of getting an AI-drafted reply. ## Bot Agent (bring your own LLM)
For developers who want full control, GhostChat supports automated bot agents via webhooks. Available on every paid plan (from Pro, $5/mo): create a bot API key, receive webhooks for incoming messages, and reply programmatically using any LLM (Claude, GPT-4, Ollama, Llama, etc.) running on your own infrastructure. Your AI, your infrastructure, your data. Webhooks fire for new visitor messages (message.new) and on conversation resolution (conversation.resolved — the full transcript with roles, ISO timestamps, attachments, and page journey in one payload), with per-event toggles and a delivery log in the dashboard.
